| The village of Kilmaurs, is near Kilmarnock
in Ayrshire. The village dates back to the 14th century and
is famous for it's crossroads buildings, the "Jougs"
(pronounced jugs) a medieval jailhouse at Kilmaurs village
centre. A history of leatherworking in the village goes back
200 years when glovemakers thrived here. More
